ASF-2202

Gateshead Car Park

A.S Facades was tasked with completing the facade work on the building's four stair cores. These cores serve as critical escape routes in case of an emergency, such as a fire in the car park.

Our primary focus was to ensure that the facades met strict fire protection standards, providing a safe and secure means of egress for users. This required careful planning and execution, incorporating fire-resistant materials and construction techniques that comply with all relevant safety regulations and building codes.

Despite the challenging environment of an active car park, our team worked efficiently to minimize disruption while maintaining a high level of quality. The result was a set of robust, fire-resistant stair cores that enhance the overall safety of the facility.

ASF-2205

Montana House

The Montana House project, completed in 2023, involved extensive facade remediation to enhance fire safety. A.S Facades was responsible for replacing all non-fire-safe panels on the building's exterior with materials that met rigorous fire safety standards.

In addition to panel replacement, we also installed fire-rated cavity barriers throughout the facade. These barriers are essential for preventing the spread of fire through concealed spaces, contributing to the overall safety and integrity of the building.

ASF-2206

Princess House

This was a large-scale facade remediation project that took place in 2023. This project was a significant undertaking due to the building's size and complexity. A.S Facades was brought in to replace all non-fire-safe panels and install fire-rated cavity barriers, following the same construction approach used in the Montana House project but on a much larger scale.

Given the scope of the project, our team faced the challenge of coordinating extensive work across a vast facade while ensuring safety, compliance, and minimal disruption to building occupants. The replacement of the non-compliant panels required meticulous planning and execution, with careful attention to every detail to ensure that the new fire-safe materials were correctly installed.

ASF-2207

Royal Oldham Hospital

This project was an extension to Royal Oldham Hospital involving the installation of a terracotta facade to match the hospital's architectural style while ensuring durability and safety. This project required a blend of aesthetic sensitivity and robust construction practices to meet the hospital's standards for both design and functionality.

The use of terracotta cladding was central to this project, providing a durable and visually appealing facade that complements the existing hospital structure. The material is known for its resilience and fire-resistant properties, making it an ideal choice for a healthcare setting where safety is paramount.
